The Group 1 William Reid Stakes will be run this Saturday, 13 February at the Moonee Valley race course in Melbourne, which is home to the WS Cox Plate.

The William Reid Stakes is a 1200 metre race for sprinters at weight for age and offers prize money of $500,000 for entrants.

The winner of the 2009 William Reid Stakes for the second consecutive year was champion galloper  Apache Cat, followed by Vormista second with Time Thief coming in third.

Admission into Moonee Valley race course for Adults is $20, Concession $12 and Children 13-17 years $15 and Children under 12 free accompanied by an adult. Plenty of free public parking is available in the centre of the racetrack.
